When to go to Rhodes

Rhodes is one of the sunniest islands in Greece. The beach season runs from May to October, with July and August the hottest months at around 30°C. May, June and September are ideal for sightseeing in Rhodes Town and Lindos without the peak heat.

Getting there and getting around

Direct flights from the UK take about four hours. The airport is on the west coast near Ialyssos, so transfers there are short, while resorts in the south such as Kiotari and Lardos take around 1½ to 2 hours.

Buses link Rhodes Town with most east-coast resorts. Day trips by boat to the island of Symi are popular.
