Avoid UK school holidays, Christmas–New Year, February half-term and Easter for the best value.

The lagoons are calm and shallow, transfer times from the airport are short, and the local infrastructure (restaurants, shops, excursions) is geared towards families. Most all-inclusive resorts on this stretch run dedicated kids' clubs. The east coast is the quieter alternative if you want a longer beach and a less-busy resort.
