Map & location
Venice City, Venice, Italy
NH Venezia Santa Lucia enjoys one of Venice’s most convenient locations, right on the Grand Canal near the Santa Lucia railway station. Arrive by train or water taxi, drop your bags and you’re immediately in the heart of Cannaregio, a district of quiet canals, local bacari (wine bars) and artisan shops.
From here, you can wander to the Rialto Bridge and its food markets, then continue past churches and campi (small squares) to reach the splendour of St Mark’s Square – with no need for complex boat changes or long-haul suitcase dragging over bridges.
- train station (Venice Santa Lucia) 120m
- Rialto Bridge 1.5km on foot
- St Mark’s Square 1.8km on foot
- Approx. transfer time from airport 20–45 minutes depending on mode (road + people-mover/vaporetto or private water taxi).
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
NH Venezia Santa Lucia is a pure city hotel with no pool or beach – your “pool” is the Grand Canal and the lagoon itself, explored by vaporetto, private water taxi or classic gondola. Lidos, rooftop terraces and canal-side bars throughout the city provide plenty of spots to soak up the sunshine in between sightseeing.
Spa, sports & wellness
This boutique-style hotel keeps things simple and elegant, focusing on comfort, service and location rather than resort-style facilities. You’ll find:
• 24-hour reception and concierge for restaurant bookings, vaporetto tips and opera tickets
• Luggage storage, perfect for late departures or early arrivals
• English-language newspapers in the lobby
• Lift access to most floors
Venice itself supplies the “fitness centre” – with long, meandering walks over bridges and through historic alleys – while nearby squares and bars offer live music, aperitivo hours and cultural events depending on season.

More info
Venice is very much a walking city: expect cobbled streets, stepped bridges and narrow alleyways, so comfortable shoes are essential and wheeled luggage is best kept light. The local currency is the Euro (€) and the official language is Italian, though English is widely spoken in hotels, restaurants and major attractions.
Typical UK–Venice flight time is around 2 hours. From the airport you can reach the historic centre by bus or taxi to Piazzale Roma, followed by a short walk or boat ride, or you can arrive in style via private water taxi along the lagoon and Grand Canal.
Local taxes: Venice levies a tourist tax, collected locally by hotels; the amount varies by star rating and season and is payable in cash or card on arrival or departure.
Information is based on supplier details and our own checks, and may change throughout the season. For entry rules and health guidance see the UK FCDO Italy advice.
