Most of Dubrovnik’s hotels are not inside the Old Town walls but on the Lapad and Babin Kuk peninsulas, a short bus ride away, or just outside the city gates. Lapad has a pedestrian promenade, beaches and restaurants; Babin Kuk has resort hotels by the sea; and the hotels by the Old Town put the walls on your doorstep.

Lapad, Babin Kuk or near the Old Town?
Near the Old Town (Ploče and Pile): walk to the walls in minutes and enjoy the city early and late. Lapad: a promenade, a sandy-pebble beach and lots of restaurants, around 15 minutes by bus from the Old Town. Babin Kuk: resort hotels on a green peninsula with beaches, a little further out. Dubrovnik airport is about 30 minutes from the Old Town and 40 minutes from Lapad.
