Perched high above the Aegean on Santorini’s east side, Dome Santorini Resort is a boutique adults-only retreat that pairs classic Cycladic architecture with soul-soothing sea views. With just 12 whitewashed suites and villas – many with indoor whirlpools, outdoor jacuzzis or private pools – plus an infinity pool, spa and à la carte Greek restaurant, it’s made for honeymoons, anniversaries and anyone wanting the full “Santorini postcard” without the crowds of Fira and Oia.

Dome Santorini Resort sits in the quiet, picturesque village of Imerovigli, high on a hill on Santorini’s east side. From here you look out over the endless blue of the Aegean Sea, nearby islands and a patchwork of vineyards that cover much of Santorini’s interior.
You’re close enough to the caldera to wander over and soak up its dramatic cliffs and volcano views, yet just removed enough to enjoy peaceful nights and uncrowded terraces. Fira, with its museums, boutiques and buzzing dining scene, is only a short taxi ride away, while Kamari and the island’s famous Red Beach are easy day trips.

The resort’s showpiece is its outdoor freshwater infinity pool, complete with a small children’s section, sunbathing terrace, cushioned loungers and parasols. The elevated position means you can drift in the water while gazing over vineyards and sea – it’s particularly atmospheric at sunrise and golden hour. Pool towels are provided free of charge.
While Dome Santorini Resort isn’t directly on a beach (typical of cliffside Santorini hotels), Kamari’s dark volcanic sands and the dramatic Red Beach are both easily reached by taxi or hire car for a classic “beach day” fix.
Spa, sports & wellness
Wellness is a real focus here. The compact gym offers cardio machines, free weights and strength equipment, open daily in season (typically April–October, roughly 09:00–20:00).
After exploring Imerovigli’s steps and trails, retreat to the spa for a sauna or steam, followed by a whirlpool session or a massage treatment (local charges apply). The spa usually operates late morning to early evening, giving you time to combine sightseeing with downtime.
Around the property, you’ll find a 16-hour reception with concierge-style assistance, luggage storage and motorised scooter hire (extra charge) so you can explore the island at your own pace.

At Dome Santorini Resort, dining is as relaxed as the setting. Oregano Restaurant is the hotel’s à la carte venue, serving Greek and Mediterranean-inspired dishes for lunch and dinner by the pool. Santorini combines volcanic landscapes, cliff-clinging villages and boutique hotels, so steps and uneven surfaces are common – comfortable shoes are a must. Imerovigli is quieter than Fira or Oia but still close to excellent tavernas and sunset bars, making it a favourite area for couples.
