Santa Susanna sits on the Costa Barcelona stretch of the Costa Brava, with long, broad beaches backed by a promenade and low-rise hotels. AQUA Hotel Onabrava occupies a handy position close to the seafront: the beach lies just across the coastal railway line, accessed safely via an underpass about 100m from the hotel.
Stroll 700m along the promenade to reach Santa Susanna’s resort centre, where cafés, shops and family-friendly bars line the front. Venture 20 minutes by car to buzzing Lloret de Mar for nightlife and beach clubs, or head the same distance to Blanes for botanical gardens and traditional tapas. Girona’s medieval streets and cathedral are around an hour away, making an easy day trip.

Outside, you’ll find two freshwater pools including a separate children’s pool. The main pool is framed by a large sunbathing terrace with loungers and parasols, designed for long, lazy days under the Catalan sun. The beach is just 100m away, across the railway via a dedicated pedestrian underpass. Santa Susanna’s beaches are broad and gently sloping, perfect for paddling and sandcastle building, with cafés and beach bars dotted along the promenade.
