Map & location
Akrotiri, Santorini, Greece
Set on the quieter south-western side of the island, Santorini View enjoys a privileged clifftop position in Akrotiri, one of Santorini’s most historic and authentic villages. Here you’re surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and volcanic landscapes, with the caldera stretching out beneath the hotel’s terraces.
Caldera Beach, a dark-sand curve with textbook views, is nearby, while the famous Red Beach, Aspri and Mesa Pigadia are a short drive away. Akrotiri’s Minoan archaeological site and whitewashed lighthouse mean you can blend lazy pool days with some of the island’s best sunsets and sightseeing – without the cruise-ship crowds.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The hotel’s compact outdoor freshwater pool is the star of the show. Set on a cliffside terrace with sunbeds and panoramic views across the caldera, it’s a dreamy spot for lazy days, golden-hour cocktails and stargazing at night. Inflatables are permitted, and pool towels are available for a refundable deposit.
Facilities and opening dates are usually from 01 May to 31 October, weather and occupancy permitting. For a dip in the sea, make your way down to Caldera Beach around 900m away – a peaceful, dark-sand strip with volcanic rocks and incredible vistas back towards the cliffs.
Spa, sports & wellness
Santorini View is deliberately low-key, designed more for unwinding with a good book than ticking off activities. While there’s no dedicated spa or gym on site, you’re well-placed for:
• Long coastal walks and photography along the caldera rim
• Self-guided vineyard tours and local wine tasting in nearby villages
• Boat trips from Akrotiri to Red Beach, White Beach and the volcanic islands (bookable locally)
On-site practical facilities include:
• Reception – open 16 hours per day, seven days a week
• Concierge-style assistance for excursions, restaurant reservations and taxis
• Luggage storage for early arrivals and late departures
• Equipment for hire including motorised scooters (local charge)
Information and facilities can change from season to season; always check locally on arrival for the most up-to-date details.

Food & drink
Wake to soft light over the caldera and head to the buffet breakfast restaurant, where you can graze on a spread of continental and Greek-inspired favourites – from fresh breads and pastries to yogurts, fruits and simple hot options. Breakfast typically operates between May and October, with times and offering varying slightly by season.
As a cosy Bed & Breakfast retreat, Santorini View leaves lunches and dinners open for you to explore Akrotiri’s family-run tavernas and seafront restaurants. Expect carafes of local wine, grilled fish and classic dishes like moussaka and tomato keftedes within walking or short taxi distance.
