Map & location
Katelios, Kefalonia, Greece
Pacifae Golden Village sits on the fringes of Katelios, a traditional fishing village on Kefalonia’s south coast. Days here are delightfully simple: wander down past olive groves to the curved, sandy beach, stop for a long, lazy lunch in a seafront taverna, then drift back for a dip in the pool as the mountains turn golden at sunset.
Katelios itself is compact and low-rise, with dinky shops, boat hire and waterside tavernas rather than noisy nightlife. When you fancy a change of pace, Skala’s livelier beaches and watersports are a short drive away, and island capital Argostoli makes a great day trip for harbourfront strolls and a dose of Kefalonian culture.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The large freshwater pool is the social hub of Pacifae Golden Village, with plenty of space for both paddlers and proper swimmers. A separate children’s section keeps little ones happy, while a whirlpool area and surrounding sunbathing terrace with loungers invite you to spend full days poolside. Inflatables and water toys are permitted, adding to the laid-back, family-friendly vibe.
Katelios Beach is around 1km away – an easy stroll or quick taxi ride – with gently shelving sand and clear, calm water that’s ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available from local operators, and the seafront is lined with unpretentious tavernas and bars perfect for a long lunch between dips.
Spa, sports & wellness
While there’s no full spa, the hotel keeps things active with a surprisingly varied programme of fitness sessions (often run seasonally and subject to local charges). Depending on occupancy and time of year, you might find:
• Aerobics and aqua aerobics

• Paddle-style fitness activities
Evenings are generally low-key, with occasional in-house entertainment between May and October – think karaoke, mini-disco for younger guests and simple shows. Facilities and activities can change from season to season and may require a small local fee; check the weekly schedule on arrival.
