Map & location
Nea Moudania, Halkidiki, Greece
Ikos Oceania enjoys a privileged hillside setting on Halkidiki’s west coast, just outside the authentic town of Nea Moudania. From here you can gaze across the Aegean towards Mount Olympus, wander down to the long sandy beach, or hop in the complimentary shuttle to explore the harbourfront and cafés in town.
Nea Moudania itself has a distinctly local feel – think traditional squares, a fishing port and a proper Greek market – yet you’re within easy day-tripping distance of Kassandra’s livelier beach towns and Sithonia’s wilder coves if you want to explore further by hire car or on an Ikos Local Discovery drive in a complimentary Tesla (subject to availability).
- Beach 350m (across a small road)
- shops, bars & restaurants 850m
- Nea Moudania resort centre 1km
- Approx. transfer time from airport (Thessaloniki SKG) 50 minutes
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
Water babies are spoiled here. Ikos Oceania offers six outdoor pools, including:
– A large main infinity-style pool with sweeping sea views and sunbeds all around
– A serene adults-only pool for quieter lounging
– Additional heated family pools
– Two heated children’s pools, including one exclusive to Deluxe Collection guests
There’s also a heated indoor freshwater pool in the spa, giving you somewhere tranquil to swim even in cooler months. Most outdoor pools are heated in early and late season (roughly late March to late October; specific dates vary by pool). Inflatables are permitted in selected pools, and pool towels are complimentary.
The beach lies around 350m away across a small road and feels wonderfully private, with organised loungers, parasols and attentive food and beverage service. Families can take advantage of beach childcare at set times, while active guests can try non-motorised water sports such as canoeing, windsurfing and pedalos (motorised options and scuba diving come with a supplement and are run by an external operator).

Halkidiki enjoys warm, dry summers and milder shoulder seasons, making Ikos Oceania a great choice from spring through to autumn. Nea Moudania is more “authentic town” than resort strip, with a working harbour, local tavernas and summer festivals such as the Sardine Festival in July.
