Map & location
Brac Island (Milna), Split and Dalmatian Coast, Croatia
Set on the tranquil island of Brac, Gava Waterman Island Cottages are tucked into a pine-scented cove near Milna, a postcard-pretty fishing village with a yacht-filled marina. Olive groves, vineyards and stone houses dot the landscape, while the sea shimmers just a short stroll away.
By day, you can hop between pools, take a kayak out or wander the coastal path. In the evening, head into Milna for a harbourfront promenade, tavernas and baroque architecture that show off the best of the Dalmatian Coast at a slower, island pace.
- Seafront 250m
- Milna resort centre 2.8km
- Approx. transfer time from airport 2–3 hours including ferry crossing from Split (SPU) to Brac Island.
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The resort is well set up for pool days, with a choice of three outdoor freshwater pools plus an indoor pool for cooler days or shoulder seasons.
• Main outdoor pool with sunbeds and parasols
• Heated outdoor pool (seasonal heating from roughly 10 Sep to 04 Jun)
• Heated children’s pool with slides and a shallow sunbathing area for little ones (also heated 10 Sep–04 Jun)
• Indoor heated freshwater pool, generally open late April–mid-June and again mid-September–early October, depending on occupancy
Towels are available (a deposit or local charge may apply), and the seafront is only about 250m away for dips in the Adriatic. The hotel runs water sports such as inflatable water park and kayaking (local charges apply; seasonal and weather dependent).
Spa, sports & wellness
Work off the buffet at the air-conditioned gym, which offers cardio machines, free weights, a stretching area and fixed strength equipment, typically open 10:00–18:00.
If you like to stay active, there’s a long list of sports: aqua aerobics, badminton, basketball, football, handball, mini-golf, pétanque, table tennis, tennis and volleyball.
For downtime, head to the spa with sauna, steam room and a menu of massages and beauty treatments (all payable locally; opening hours usually 08:00–20:00, subject to occupancy).
An on-site mini-market makes it easy to pick up holiday essentials, and reception can help with wheelchair hire, luggage storage and the daytime shuttle to Milna.
