Walk about 650m downhill to reach Megali Ammos’ Blue Flag beach, lined with tavernas and relaxed beach bars, or continue roughly 1km into Skiathos Town for harbourside dining, cobbled lanes and boat trips. This location strikes an excellent balance: close enough to walk into town, but just far enough out to feel peaceful when you retreat back up the hill.

Poseidon Villas is set on a hillside above Megali Ammos, approximately 650 metres from the beach and resort centre. It’s an enjoyable downhill walk to the sand-and-shingle shoreline, with tavernas and beach bars along the way. The return walk is uphill, so you may prefer a short taxi ride back if you’re carrying bags or travelling with younger children.
Can I walk from Poseidon Villas into Skiathos Town?
Yes. Skiathos Town is roughly 1km from Poseidon Villas, making it very walkable for most guests. You can follow the coastal road past Megali Ammos Beach into town, which is especially pleasant in the evening when temperatures are cooler. Alternatively, taxis are readily available and the local bus also connects Megali Ammos with the harbour.
