Map & location
Ovacik, Dalaman Area, Turkey
Ovacik is a peaceful hillside village above Turkey’s famous Blue Lagoon at Ölüdeniz, offering cooler evening breezes and big mountain views. Yel Holiday Resort sits in a quiet spot, yet you’re just a short stroll from local shops, bars and restaurants, and a quick taxi ride or dolmuş to the livelier nightlife of Hisaronu or the beach.
This is a great base if you want a relaxed hotel with access to hiking trails, boat trips and paragliding over Babadağ Mountain, but still value a calm place to retreat to at the end of the day.
- Approx. transfer time from Dalaman Airport (DLM) 1 hour 45 minutes
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The resort centres around two freshwater outdoor pools. The main pool is generously sized with a separate section featuring slides, ideal for older kids and the young-at-heart. A smaller children’s pool gives little ones a safer place to splash while parents look on from nearby sunbeds.
Sunbathing terraces are dotted with loungers and parasols, and the mountain backdrop adds a real sense of place as you swim or relax with a drink from the pool bar.
The nearest beach is around 5km away, and the hotel runs a complimentary bus twice daily, so you can easily mix pool days with time on the sand without organising your own transport.
Spa, sports & wellness
While there’s no full spa, Yel Holiday Resort offers plenty of ways to stay active and entertained:
• Gym with cardio equipment, free weights and a stretching area (min. age 16; approx. 09:00–18:00)
• Aerobics and aqua aerobics sessions
• Darts and table tennis
The animation team runs regular activities during the day, particularly in summer, along with evening entertainment such as quizzes, bingo, karaoke, professional shows and live music. Schedules vary seasonally and by occupancy, with a fuller programme from May through September.

? Daily and nightly entertainment schedules in high season
? Kids’ club with arts & crafts, small games and sports (5–12yrs)
? Children’s playground with swings, slides and climbing frame (age/height restrictions may apply)
Guest services

? Currency exchange service (local charge may apply)
? Luggage storage for early arrivals/late departures

The resort is made up of several low-rise blocks with no lifts, so ground-floor room requests are worth making in advance if stairs are an issue.
Food & drink
The main buffet restaurant keeps things relaxed and family-friendly, serving a mix of international favourites and Turkish dishes on a terrace overlooking the gardens. Expect simple, crowd-pleasing options at breakfast, lunch and dinner with salads, hot dishes and desserts.
