Marina Bayview is perched on the hillside above Puerto Rico’s pretty marina on Gran Canaria’s sun-soaked south-west coast. From here you get front-row views of bobbing yachts and the Atlantic, yet you’re within easy reach of the resort’s golden beach, waterfront restaurants and shopping malls.
The immediate area has a relaxed, marina-side feel – think waterside dining, cocktails with a view and boat trips along the coast – while the main resort centre offers more bars, clubs and late-night options if you want to dial things up after dark.

Pool & outdoors
The heart of Marina Bayview is its outdoor freshwater pool, framed by white sunbeds, palms and those all-important marina views. The pool is heated between November and April, so you can still enjoy a comfortable dip in the winter sun.
The surrounding sun terrace is dotted with sunloungers, parasols and indulgent Balinese beds, perfect for long, lazy days with a book and a cold drink. There’s also an outdoor whirlpool with Balinese beds for an extra touch of spa-style relaxation.
Puerto Rico’s broad sandy beach is around 1.2km away and reached via steps down through the resort – great if you like to alternate between pool days and sea swims.

Keeping active is easy thanks to the light-filled gym, which comes equipped with cardio machines, free weights and a stretching zone and is typically open from early morning to early evening.
After a day exploring or a workout, wind down in the sauna and whirlpool area (local charges may apply). Although there’s no full spa menu on site, the combination of hillside views, whirlpool and sauna hits that wellness note nicely.
