Typical daytime highs in late March and early April: Canary Islands around 22 to 24 °C, with the sea around 19 °C; Agadir around 23 to 24 °C; Marrakech around 24 to 26 °C, but cool at night; Madeira around 20 °C; Cyprus around 21 to 23 °C, with the sea still cool; Malta around 18 to 20 °C. For the best chance of beach weather, choose the Canaries or Agadir. For sightseeing in comfortable warmth, Marrakech, Cyprus and Malta are perfect.
Tips for booking Easter
Easter is one of the busiest weeks of the year, so book early for the best flight times and family rooms. Check your school’s holiday dates, as they vary between areas and do not always match the Easter weekend. A heated pool is worth looking for in the Canaries and Madeira, where the sea is refreshing in spring.
