What to know before you book
Swim-up pools are shared with neighbouring rooms, so they are sociable rather than private. Pools are often unheated, so they are best from June to September. Ground-floor rooms can be less private, which is worth considering if you like to keep curtains open. Some hotels restrict swim-up pools to adults.
