If your idea of a perfect holiday is a long walk on an empty beach, Fuerteventura is your island. It has the longest, emptiest stretches of white and golden sand in the Canaries, turquoise lagoons, the protected dunes of Corralejo and the vast beaches of the Jandía peninsula. It is also one of Europe’s top spots for windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Here are eight of our best-rated hotels on the island, all of which offer an all-inclusive option. They range from adults-focused five-star luxury in Corralejo to family resorts with pirate-ship splash pools.
