When to go and getting there
The season runs from May to October. The club season opens in late May or June and closes in early October, with the famous opening and closing parties. June and September are perfect for warm sea and a slightly calmer island. Flights take around two and a quarter hours from the UK, and most resorts are within 15 to 40 minutes of the airport.

Watch the sunset at Café del Mar or from the cliffs at Cala Comte, explore the UNESCO-listed walls of Dalt Vila, browse the Las Dalias and Punta Arabí hippy markets, take a boat to the turquoise beaches of Formentera, and book a table at a cliff-top restaurant in the north.
