Iberostar Tainos Hotel, Varadero Cuba

A good fun Hotel

Iberostar Tainos Hotel, Varadero Cuba

£867 per person

This hotel’s not just been blessed with a beachfront address. It’s got a lagoon-like pool tucked within the greenery. As for wining and dining, there are five bars and three restaurants – including a Japanese and a grill. There’s a stage for evening shows. And the kids’ club’s split by age, catering for everyone from tots to teens.

Pretty, tropical gardens roll all the way down to a pristine, paper-white beach at the Iberostar Tainos.

This property looks the spitting image of a Caribbean village, with low-rise buildings cosied up to palm trees. Guests – or should we say residents – get free rein of a pool, three restaurants and five bars.

Destinations: 7 nights Varadero

The hotel’s secured a spot by the sand on Varadero’s strip. It’s also just five minutes’ drive to Varahicacos Ecological Reserve, where you’ve got nature trails and a cave full of pre-Colombian paintings.

Iberostar’s popular kids’ club concept – Star Club – is present and correct here. It’s split into groups, so everyone from 4 to 17-year-olds are covered. Expect the likes of cooking, art and science experiments.
