Family Morocco: Atlas Mountains & Sahara Adventure – 8 Days
Mountains, a bike ride, camels and a desert camp, for families with children aged 7 and up.
Tour overview
This 8-day family trip is built for children aged seven and over, with a tour leader and a group of four to twenty. You stay four nights in hotels, one in a kasbah, one in a simple village gîte and one in a desert camp with family tents, with breakfast every day and several lunches and dinners.
From Marrakech you cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass to the High Atlas village of Tighza for a gentle walk, then hike a valley on the way to the film-set kasbah of Aït Benhaddou.

Next day the family cycles 21 km downhill towards Ouarzazate with a support vehicle, then follows the Draa valley to the Ouled Driss oasis for a camel trek into the dunes, bread-making and a Berber dinner in camp. You visit the Atlas Film Studios on the way back to Marrakech for a city tour.
The physical rating is low. This trip suits active families who want mountains, desert and a taste of Moroccan life.
