Luxury Patagonia: Torres del Paine, Perito Moreno & Ushuaia – 9 Days
Torres del Paine, a glacier cruise, the Perito Moreno Glacier and Ushuaia's penguins, in hand-picked hotels with a group of up to 12.
Tour overview
This 9-day small-group tour covers the highlights of Patagonia on both sides of the Andes in comfort, from Chile's Torres del Paine to the end of the world at Ushuaia. Groups have up to 12 travellers aged 15 and over, with a leader throughout and local guides. You stay eight nights in hand-picked hotels, including three nights at a design hotel in Puerto Natales that blends into the landscape, with first-class views of the fjord and mountains. Transport is by private vehicle, plane and boat, with eight breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners included, and an arrival transfer in Santiago.
The trip begins with a welcome dinner in Santiago, followed by a flight south and a scenic drive to Puerto Natales on the Última Esperanza fjord. A full day in Torres del Paine National Park brings its granite towers and horns, turquoise lakes, waterfalls and herds of guanaco, with walks and viewpoints and a picnic lunch. The hotel's large windows frame the fjord and mountains.

Next you cruise into Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, which can only be reached by sea, to see the Balmaceda Glacier spilling down the mountains and walk to the face of the Serrano Glacier. Crossing into Argentina, you reach El Calafate on Lago Argentino and visit the Perito Moreno Glacier, three kilometres wide and one of the few in the world that is not retreating, where you can watch towers of ice crash into the lake from the walkways.
A flight takes you to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, beside the Beagle Channel. Here you join a tour to Martillo Island, walking among the Magellanic and gentoo penguins that breed there, and enjoy a farewell dinner. The final day is free to explore Tierra del Fuego National Park or simply depart. Ushuaia's waterfront is lined with seafood restaurants serving king crab.
The physical rating is low, with optional walks and windy weather. This tour suits travellers who want Patagonia's most famous sights, including penguins, in a short trip with comfortable hotels and a small group. Single rooms are available for a supplement, and the trip combines easily with an Antarctic voyage from Ushuaia.

Every Travelisto booking is 100% financially protected. Your money is held in a ring-fenced Trust account until you return from your trip, and we are members of the Protected Trust Services scheme (PTS 6035). Most tours also include ATOL protection where flights are part of the package.

Yes, including the flight from El Calafate to Ushuaia.
How active is the trip?
The physical rating is low, with optional walks in Torres del Paine and at the glaciers.
What is the weather like?
Changeable and often windy, even in summer. Bring layers and a windproof jacket.

What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
If your international flight is part of your booking through us, we re-book at no cost. If you've booked flights separately, the tour's local team holds your transfer slot until you arrive. We strongly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes delay and cancellation cover.
