Tour overview

This 7-day walking trip covers the last stretch of the Camino Francés, enough to earn your Compostela certificate. A local leader walks with the group, which numbers no more than twelve, and your luggage is moved each day. You stay six nights in hotels and a pension, with breakfast daily and one lunch.

You collect your pilgrim passport in Sarria and set off through the green Galician countryside to Portomarín, then on to Palas de Rei past the Roman ruins of Castro de Castromaior.

The longest day takes you to Arzúa, with a traditional polbo á feira lunch in Melide, followed by an evening of queimada, a flaming Galician drink. From O Pedrouzo you walk the final stage into Santiago de Compostela and its great cathedral.

The physical rating is medium, with daily walks of 15–29km. This trip suits walkers who want the Camino experience with the logistics taken care of.

What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?

If your international flight is part of your booking through us, we re-book at no cost. If you've booked flights separately, the tour's local team holds your transfer slot until you arrive. We strongly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes delay and cancellation cover.
