Tour overview

This 8-day cycling holiday loops through the vineyards and monasteries of La Rioja. It is self-guided, with hire bikes, route notes and maps, luggage moved between hotels and a local agent on call. You stay seven nights in three- and four-star hotels, including one inside a monastery, with breakfast daily.

From Logroño, Rioja's lively capital, a transfer takes you to the start of your route to San Millán de la Cogolla, where you stay within the UNESCO-listed Yuso Monastery. You ride on to the mountain town of Ezcaray, then follow a traffic-free cycle lane to Haro, centre of the wine trade.
