Cambodia Highlights: Phnom Penh & Angkor – 8 Days
Phnom Penh and three unhurried days at Angkor, in a group of up to eighteen.
Tour overview
This 8-day tour focuses on Cambodia’s two great highlights, its capital Phnom Penh and the temples of Angkor, at a relaxed pace. A tour leader travels with the group, which numbers between four and eighteen. You stay seven nights in comfortable hotels, three in Phnom Penh and four at a spa hotel in Siem Reap, with breakfast daily.
In Phnom Penh, which took over from Angkor as Cambodia’s capital, you visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, the National Museum and the sites that tell the story of the Khmer Rouge years. A free day allows an optional trip to Silk Island to see traditional weaving.

On the way to Siem Reap you cruise on Tonle Sap, South East Asia’s largest lake. Three days at Angkor take you to the temples at sunset, the great city of Angkor Thom with the smiling faces of the Bayon, the tree-strangled ruins of Ta Prohm and, finally, Angkor Wat itself.
The physical rating is low. This tour suits travellers who want to see Cambodia’s highlights in comfort without rushing.
