Tour overview

This 8-day walking holiday explores the Accursed Mountains of northern Albania, one of the last wild landscapes in Europe, with a tour leader and a group of four to sixteen. You stay six nights in hotels and guesthouses and one in a mountain hut, with every breakfast, three lunches and three dinners.

From Tirana you drive into Kosovo to see the Ottoman old town of Prizren, then on to the Valbona Valley for a walk to Rama Hut with views of the peaks.

A transfer to Çerem starts a hike to the high pastures of Doberdol, where you spend a night in a mountain hut, before walking past Dashi Lake to Sylbice. A ferry along the fjord-like Koman Lake leads to Kruja, and the trip ends in the Ottoman town of Berat.

The physical rating is medium. This holiday suits keen walkers looking for remote mountains and village life.
