Solo Uzbekistan & the Silk Road with Flights – 11 Days
Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent for solo travellers, with flights and a room of your own.
Tour overview
This 11-day holiday is designed for people travelling on their own, with a twin or double room of your own and no single supplement. Return flights from the UK are included, and a holiday director hosts the group, with specialist local guides. You stay nine nights in three-star hotels, with a night in flight on the way out, and breakfast and dinner on most days.
You fly to Khiva for a guided tour of its walled inner town, the Kalta Minor minaret and a handicrafts centre, then cross the Kyzylkum desert by road to Bukhara. Three nights here include a full-day guided tour, a puppet-making workshop and a visit to a miniature painting school, with free time to explore at your own pace.

Three nights in Samarkand bring the Registan and the city’s great monuments, a spice teahouse tasting with a local artist and a visit to the Afrasiab Museum. You end with a panoramic tour of Tashkent, a melting pot of architecture, before your flight home.
The physical rating is low. This holiday suits solo travellers who want to discover the Silk Road in good company.

What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
If your international flight is part of your booking through us, we re-book at no cost. If you've booked flights separately, the tour's local team holds your transfer slot until you arrive. We strongly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes delay and cancellation cover.
