The Silk Road of Uzbekistan – 11 Days
Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand, with a desert yurt-camp evening, in a small group.
Tour overview
This 11-day trip follows the old Silk Road through Uzbekistan's great oasis cities, with a tour leader and a group of four to sixteen. You stay nine nights in comfortable hotels and one night out in the countryside near Nurata, with breakfast every day, a home-cooked lunch and a dinner by the campfire.
From Tashkent you fly to Urgench for two nights inside the walls of Khiva, a museum city of madrasas and minarets. A long drive across the Central Asian plateau brings you to Bukhara for three nights, with a guided day among its blue domes and two free days to explore.

Can you tailor the trip?
Yes — every escorted tour can be modified into a private tailor-made version with your own dates, adjusted pace, upgraded hotels and add-on extensions. Tell us what you'd like changed when you enquire and we'll quote it both ways so you can compare.
What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
If your international flight is part of your booking through us, we re-book at no cost. If you've booked flights separately, the tour's local team holds your transfer slot until you arrive. We strongly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes delay and cancellation cover.
Not quite the right fit? Make it tailor-made.
