Tour overview
This 8-day escorted holiday is based in a single hotel in the Alpine village of Château-d'Oex, so you unpack once and explore the mountains and lakes of western Switzerland by train and coach. Return flights to Geneva are included, and a tour director travels with you throughout. You stay seven nights at the three-star Roc et Neige Hotel, with breakfast daily and five dinners.
On arrival you transfer from Geneva to Château-d'Oex, in the Pays d'Enhaut, a village known for its hot-air balloons and traditional paper cutting. An included visit takes you to the medieval village of Gruyères, famous for its cheese and castle, and a free day lets you explore the village and its walks.

On the GoldenPass Express you travel through spectacular countryside to Interlaken, continuing by coach to Grindelwald beneath the Eiger. Another day the GoldenPass carries you down through the vineyards above Lake Geneva to Montreux and its lakeside promenade. There are free days for optional trips to Glacier 3000 and the glamorous resort of Gstaad, or to Bern, the Swiss capital.
