This 8-day holiday lets you spend Christmas in the mild Maltese sunshine, with flights, half board and two guided excursions included and a tour director on hand. The price includes return flights from a choice of UK airports, airport transfers and coach travel for the included touring. You stay seven nights at the four-star Dolmen Resort Hotel in Qawra, on St Paul's Bay, with breakfast and dinner every day and a special gala dinner on Christmas Eve. An all-inclusive option and an alternative hotel are available for a supplement.
After arriving and settling in, you have a free day to enjoy the resort and the seafront at Qawra. The first excursion, Three Cities and the Sea, takes you across Valletta's Grand Harbour to the medieval cities of Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea, where the island's long history is written in its fortifications, churches and narrow streets.

Next you travel to Malta's walled capital, Valletta, on its peninsula. Your tour director leads you past the striking modern Parliament building and through the Baroque streets built by the Knights of St John, and you visit the Malta Experience, an audio-visual journey through the island's 7,000 years of history. The city's lights and nativity scenes make it especially atmospheric at Christmas.
On Christmas Eve you can take things at your own pace or join an optional tour to Mosta, with its famous Rotunda, and the walled city of Mdina and neighbouring Rabat, before the gala dinner. Christmas Day is free to relax and celebrate, perhaps with a traditional Christmas lunch out, and on the final full day there is an optional excursion to Gozo, Malta's greener sister island.
