This 8-day trip circles Finland’s Golden Triangle of Helsinki, Tampere and Turku, combining design, history, lakes and sauna culture. A tour leader travels with the group, which numbers between five and sixteen, by train and coach. You stay seven nights in well-located hotels, with breakfast daily and a welcome dinner.
In Helsinki you explore the city’s architecture, from its cathedral to its modern design, and take an evening cruise through the archipelago. You visit the cobbled streets and red warehouses of Porvoo before taking the train to Tampere, set between two lakes, for views from the Näsinneula tower and a cycle ride followed by a traditional sauna.

In Turku, Finland’s oldest city, you explore the castle, cathedral and market square, and join a culinary tour of its food, then visit the wooden old town of Rauma, a World Heritage Site. On your last day you see the artisan village of Fiskars and hike in Nuuksio National Park before returning to Helsinki.
