Scandinavia & Baltic Circuit: Copenhagen to Vilnius – 32 Days
Seven countries around the Baltic by train, ferry and bus, in a group of up to twelve.
Tour overview
This 32-day adventure circles the Baltic Sea through Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, combining great capitals with fjords, islands, lakes and national parks. A local leader travels with the group, which numbers no more than twelve, using trains, buses, ferries and public transport. You stay thirty-one nights in hotels and unique stays, from sea cabins on a Swedish island and Norwegian fjord cabins to a lakeside B&B, a Lithuanian guesthouse and an overnight ferry.
You explore Copenhagen by bike, then stay in sea cabins on Vrångö in the Gothenburg archipelago and taste fika in Alingsås. In Norway you discover Oslo before riding the Bergen railway across the mountains, taking the Fløibanen funicular above Bergen and cruising the Nærøyfjord, a World Heritage Site, from cabins near Gudvangen. Lillehammer’s open-air museum and a village safari in Sweden’s Dalarna lake country follow, then Stockholm and its Vasa Museum.

An overnight ferry carries you to Helsinki, and another crosses to medieval Tallinn. In Latvia you explore art nouveau Riga and Sigulda in the Gauja National Park, and in Lithuania you visit the dunes of the Curonian Spit, kayak the lakes of Aukštaitija National Park from a family guesthouse and finish in baroque Vilnius.
The physical rating is medium. This trip suits travellers with time to explore northern Europe in depth and at good value.

Can you tailor the trip?
Yes — every escorted tour can be modified into a private tailor-made version with your own dates, adjusted pace, upgraded hotels and add-on extensions. Tell us what you'd like changed when you enquire and we'll quote it both ways so you can compare.
What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
If your international flight is part of your booking through us, we re-book at no cost. If you've booked flights separately, the tour's local team holds your transfer slot until you arrive. We strongly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes delay and cancellation cover.
Not quite the right fit? Make it tailor-made.
