Luxury Colombia: Bogotá, Coffee Country, Tayrona & Cartagena – 9 Days
Boutique stays in Bogotá, the coffee region, Tayrona and Cartagena, with coffee, wax palms and stilt villages, in a group of 5 to 16.
Tour overview
This 9-day luxury tour explores Colombia through a series of boutique stays and immersive encounters, from the Andean capital and the green coffee hills to the Caribbean coast. Groups have between 5 and 16 travellers, with an expert tour director throughout. You stay eight nights in hand-picked hotels: Casa Legado, a mid-century boutique house in Bogotá; Bio Habitat Hotel, with suites set in the forest of the coffee region; Tewimake, an experiential retreat between jungle and sea near Tayrona; and the Bastión Luxury Hotel in Cartagena's old city. All breakfasts, six lunches and five dinners are included, many at restaurants showcasing contemporary Colombian cuisine.
After a welcome reception at Restaurant Leo in Bogotá, you step into pre-Hispanic Colombia at the Gold Museum, with its extraordinary collection of indigenous goldwork, then visit the Egipto district to hear stories of resilience from the people who live there.

An early flight brings you to the coffee region, where you experience the life of a coffee farmer at a small-batch hacienda, from picking to roasting and tasting. In the Cocora Valley you walk beneath the towering wax palms, Colombia's national tree, in the Forest of Silence.
Flying north to the Caribbean, you settle into Tewimake near Tayrona National Park and meet the Arhuaco people, guardians of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, who share their beliefs and way of life. A Signature Day lets you choose between a forest walk, time on the coast or a cacao experience. On the way to Cartagena you travel through mangrove channels to two stilt villages where life plays out on the water. In Cartagena you follow in the footsteps of Gabriel García Márquez on a literary tasting tour of the walled city and visit the Afro-Colombian fishing village of La Boquilla, with a farewell dinner to close the journey.
The physical rating is low to medium, with gentle walks and some early starts. This tour suits discerning travellers who want an intimate, beautifully curated journey through Colombia with exceptional places to stay. Internal flights are included, and departures run through the year in small groups. Pack light layers.
