Vale da Lapa Village Resort is tucked away in a peaceful pocket between Carvoeiro and Ferragudo on the Algarve’s sun-drenched western coast. Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The resort is built around two attractive freshwater outdoor pools, framed by lawns, palms and plenty of sunbeds and parasols. One main pool has a separate shallow section for children, while a dedicated kids’ pool gives little ones space to splash.
For cooler days or a quiet swim, there’s also a heated indoor freshwater pool located within the spa centre. Poolside service is available from the bar in season, and towels can be obtained from the spa (policies may vary).
Beaches are a short drive away rather than on the doorstep – ideal if you prefer peaceful nights and aren’t wedded to a beachfront setting. Carvoeiro’s main sandy cove and a string of dramatic rock-backed beaches are around 2.4km from the resort.
Spa, sports & wellness
Wellness fans can retreat to the small but well-equipped spa, which features a sauna, steam room, Turkish bath and whirlpool, along with a heated indoor pool. A menu of massages and beauty treatments is available for an extra charge, and access is typically restricted to guests aged 16 and over.
The air-conditioned gym offers cardio machines, a free weights area and fixed strength equipment (usually open 10:00–19:00), while outdoors you’ll find space for mini-golf, basketball and paddle-style sports – great for keeping everyone active between pool sessions.
An on-site mini-market makes it easy to top up on essentials if you’re self-catering, and reception can help with local information, taxis and equipment hire such as mobility scooters (charges apply).
