Kruger National Park

Covering a vast expanse of land over seven thousand square miles, the Kruger National Park is the place to go in South Africa for a lifetime safari experience. Because of its size the park contains six eco-systems, from open plains to forest, and is home to nearly 2,000 different species of plant. Amongst these, over 500 types of bird can be seen at different times of year and there are, of course, lots of different animals. The Big Five are all present and in numbers that dwarf the stocks of other parks. Over 25,000 buffalo, 2,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 10,000 elephants and countless grazing animals.

The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. Kruger National Park is unrivalled in its diversity and a world leader in advanced environmental management techniques and policies. A normal day on safari is an early morning game drive, breakfast or brunch, maybe a mid-morning walk, followed by lunch and then a siesta or just time relaxing around camp. Then back into the bush after tea, for an afternoon drive and (depending on your choice of lodge) a night drive. And finally, dinner, possibly al fresco or in the boma. And then do it all again!
