1
Day 1 - Havana
Arrive at any time. An arrival transfer is included to the journey’s starting point, the Kempinsky Gran Hotel Manzana, Cuba’s most luxurious hotel, right at the heart of Old Havana, with fascinating views towards the Capitol Building, the Grand Theatre of Havana, and historic Hotel Inglaterra and Telegrafo.
2
Day 2 - Havana
Enjoy a walking tour of historic Old Havana before hopping in a vintage automobile to cruise through the city. Explore the magnificent colonial plazas, admire the fortifications surrounding the Bay of Havana that made the city a stronghold of Spanish colonial power in the Americas. Wander the cobbled streets and witness the fascinating spectacle of 1950s classic American cars driving up and down the seafront drive. Cuba is a place like no other you’ve ever visited and is sure to capture your imagination. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore Cuba's capital.
3
Day 3 - Havana to Viñales
Travel to lush Viñales with a cigar tour en route. Enjoy lunch at a local tobacco farm. Cuba’s most dramatic landscapes hide the tobacco fields where world-famous Cuban cigars are grown, dried, and carefully hand rolled into fine cigars. Vinales is Cuban countryside at its best. The mogotes, limestone rolling hills are very unique. And there’s plenty of caves, underwater rives, and waterfalls to explore. Here' you'll have the chance to live an authentic Cuban experience by staying at a privately owned B&B. Alternatively, you can choose to stay at hotel Los Jazmines and enjoy its stunning views over the valley.
4
Day 4 - Viñales
Take a walk through the countryside to enjoy the stunning outdoors. Enjoy free time in Viñales in the afternoon. Perhaps hop on a boat and paddle across Cueva del Indio, a cavern and underground river system very popular among locals and visitors. Attempt a climb at the Pre-history mural to admire the stunning countryside from the top of the mogote. Or take a leisurely stroll around the evergreen tobacco fields and vernacular villages.
5
Day 5 – Viñales to Cienfuegos
Settle in for a travel day to Cienfuegos. Along the way, stop off at the Giron Museum at the Bay of Pigs to learn more about the US military involvement with Cuba. If in the right mood, go for a swim in the beautiful waters before continuing on to the seaside town of Cienfuegos.
6
Day 6 - Cienfuegos to Trinidad
Travel to Trinidad, tour the city, and opt to take a salsa dancing lesson. Trinidad is known as Cuba’s living museum-city. It is one of the best-preserved colonial towns in the Americas, and one of the first Spanish settlements founded in Cuba on their arrival.
7
Day 7 - Trinidad
Enjoy a free day in Trinidad to discover this Spanish colonial town that was founded in the 16th century and still preserves a look and feel of the past. Enjoy the views of the valley from the Manaca Iznaga Tower, visit Sugar Mills Valley on board a steam train, perhaps go on a short visit to nearby Ancon Beach. There’s plenty to do and explore in Trinidad.
8
Day 8 Trinidad to the beach
Travel from Trinidad to either Varadero or Cayo Santa Maria. Varadero is Cuba’s most popular beach resort area. It concentrates the best beach hotels in Cuba along a 20-mile-long strip of beach that’s simply stunning. If peace and quiet is what you’re after, there’s nothing quite like Cayo Santa. With little more than a few luxury resorts, beautiful endemic fauna, and some of the best beaches in the Caribbean, it is the perfect place to unwind and relax before returning to Havana for your flight home.
9
Day 9 – 13 Varadero or Cayo Santa Maria
Relax, unwind, and enjoy the quintessential Caribbean experience by doing little more than enjoying the stunning sunsets, walking down miles of powder-soft white sands, swimming in the turquoise waters, and relaxing by the pool sipping Mojitos. If staying in Varadero, perhaps take the opportunity to visit the local town and experience local cuisine and nightlife. From Cayo Santa Maria, the colonial town of Remedios is within reach. This is the eight settlement founded by the Spanish upon arrival and preserves the charm and laid-back lifestyle of a small colonial village.
10
Day 14 - Havana
Return to Havana Airport for your flight back home.
