Trip overview

Singapore and Bali are less than three hours apart by air, and they make a natural pair. Singapore is clean, green and easy to explore, with the Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay, hawker centres serving some of Asia's best cheap food, and the neighbourhoods of Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam all a short MRT ride apart. Three nights is about right.

Bali is the slower half. Sanur, on the island's south-east coast, has a calm, reef-sheltered beach, a long seafront path for walking and cycling, and easy access to Ubud's rice terraces and temples. It's a good fit for couples and families who want somewhere relaxed rather than lively, and the hotel sits right on the sand. A week gives you time for a day inland as well as plenty of beach.

The guide price includes four-star hotels in both places.

Good to know

How long is the flight from Singapore to Bali?

About 2 hours 40 minutes. There are many direct flights a day to Denpasar.

Do I need a visa for Bali?

UK passport holders need a visa on arrival or an e-VOA for Indonesia, and Bali charges a separate tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person. Both are paid before or on arrival.

Why stay in Sanur rather than Seminyak?

Sanur has a calmer, reef-protected beach and a quieter pace, and it's close to Ubud. If you'd prefer beach clubs and nightlife, we can swap to Seminyak.

Can I add Ubud to this trip?

Yes. Many people split the Bali week between Ubud's rice terraces and the coast. Ask us to add two or three nights in Ubud.
