Vasia Resort & Spa sits on the edge of Sissi, one of Crete’s most charming and traditional fishing villages. You’re close enough to wander down to the seafront tavernas and the deep-blue harbour, yet tucked far enough away to enjoy peaceful gardens and poolside relaxation.
Sissi swaps pumping nightlife for marina-side strolls, family-friendly coves and coastal footpaths. From here you can explore nearby beaches, hire bikes to discover hidden bays, or use the resort as a comfortable base to explore the wider Heraklion area and archaeological highlights inland.

Pool days are a highlight here, with different zones for splashy fun and quiet lounging.
Outdoor pools
• 5 outdoor freshwater pools, including:

– Two pools with children’s sections
– A pool with waterslides by the beach
All feature sunbathing areas with loungers and parasols; inflatables are generally permitted and baby-changing facilities are available around family pools.
Indoor spa pool
• Indoor heated saltwater pool with waterfall, jets, sprinklers, water cannons and whirlpool – an adults-orientated sanctuary inside the spa centre. Heated and typically open 01 Apr–31 Oct, with a local charge for use.
Beach access
• A small local beach sits roughly 200m away, and the hotel runs a free shuttle bus down to the seafront. Here you’ll find shallow waters, sunbeds (local charge) and a relaxed atmosphere typical of Sissi’s coastline.
Fresh pool towels are provided so you can pack lighter.

• Dionysos – Main Restaurant
Buffet restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with show-cooking stations. Expect international favourites alongside Greek specialities, with kids’ buffet, children’s menu, highchairs and even a microwave for warming baby food. Beachwear isn’t allowed at dinner.
• 1996 – Gourmet Restaurant
À la carte fine-dining right by the beach, serving creative international dishes for dinner, often with show-cooking. Highchairs and kids’ menus are available so you don’t have to compromise on views or quality when you’re travelling with little ones. Smart dress expected (no beachwear, long trousers requested for men).
• La Trattoria – Italian Restaurant
Family-pleasing Italian à la carte for dinner, also by the beach. Think pizza, pasta and Mediterranean classics cooked to order, plus show-cooking and kids’ options.
• Pelagos – Greek Restaurant
Authentic Greek cuisine with a focus on Cretan flavours, served à la carte by the beach. A great spot to try meze, fresh fish and local dishes in a relaxed setting, with kids’ menu and baby facilities.
• Snack Bar
Casual buffet-style snacks by the pool during the day, including a kids’ buffet and children’s menu.
