Thalassa Beach Resort commands a prime stretch of Aghia Marina’s main beach on Crete’s north-west coast, a laid-back, sandy bay backed by tavernas and low-rise hotels. From here you can stroll along the shore to neighbouring Platanias, hop on a local bus to Chania’s Venetian harbour, or simply stay put and watch the sun sink into the Cretan Sea with a drink in hand.
The resort of Aghia Marina is classic Crete – pastel parasols on the sand, casual beach bars, and family-run tavernas serving seafood and Cretan favourites. Culture seekers are well-placed for Chania’s old town, archaeological sites and traditional villages in the hills, while active travellers can add boat trips, water sports and easy coastal walks to the mix.

Dining at Thalassa Beach Resort feels pleasantly boutique, with two à la carte venues and a relaxed swim-up pool bar taking care of long, lazy days.
Elaion Restaurant
The main à la carte restaurant serves a creative blend of international, Greek and local Cretan cuisine at breakfast and dinner. Expect fresh salads, grilled fish, local cheeses and olive-oil-rich dishes on the terrace or in the airy dining room. A smart dress code applies in the evening (no beachwear; gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers).
Ouzaki Restaurant
Set poolside with glimpses of the sea, Ouzaki specialises in leisurely lunches and snacks. The menu ranges from light bites and salads to Greek favourites, ideal for a mid-day break from the sun. Open seasonally between April and October.
Pool Bar
A sociable swim-up bar by the main pool offers local, international and premium drinks from morning coffee to late-night cocktails (typically 09:00–01:00 in season). Perfect for sunset drinks after a day on the sand.

Perfect for solo travellers, these rooms mirror the standard Double Room layout and facilities, with a comfortable double bed and balcony or terrace.
Double Room with Sea View

Enjoy all the amenities of a standard double, but with the bonus of a balcony that faces towards the Cretan Sea. Ideal if sunrise coffees and sunset apéritifs from your own outdoor space are non‑negotiable.
Junior Suite

Junior Suites add extra space with a seating area and a balcony, making them a great option if you like to linger in your room.
