Gerani is the quiet, coastal cousin to busy Platanias, and Caldera Beach makes the most of that laid-back setting. The Aphrodite buildings sit right by the shore with direct beach access, while the Olympos section just across the small access road offers a calmer base still only around 50m from the main restaurant and sea.

Stroll 900m into Gerani village for traditional tavernas and coffee bars, or hop on a local bus to Platanias for more nightlife. Heading further afield, Chania Old Town – with its Venetian harbour and lighthouse – makes a brilliant day or evening out.
