Map & location
Obzor, Bourgas Area, Bulgaria
Sol Luna Bay Resort enjoys a peaceful, almost standalone position on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, just outside the easy-going resort of Obzor. With the hotel practically spilling onto the sandy shoreline, your biggest daily decision is pool or beach. When you’re ready for a change of scene, Obzor town brings leafy parks, a long promenade and relaxed bars and taverns.
This stretch of coast is ideal if you like a slower pace than Sunny Beach, but still want a few day-trip options and family-friendly facilities close at hand.
- Approx. transfer time from airport 1 hour 30 minutes (from Bourgas – BOJ)
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
Water babies are spoilt for choice here. Two outdoor freshwater pools sit just above the shoreline, including a children’s pool, all framed by sunbeds and parasols. When the weather is cooler, there’s also a heated indoor pool open in spring and autumn.
The star of the show is the on-site aqua park, with slides that range from multi-lane racers to kamikaze chutes. It typically runs from early June to mid-September between 10:00 and 17:00, with age, height or weight restrictions in place for safety. Free pool towels are provided, making it easy to travel light.
Just below the hotel, a wide sandy beach stretches for kilometres – ideal for sandcastles, paddling and sunset strolls. Complimentary sunbeds and parasols on the sand are available, subject to availability.
Spa, sports & wellness
Active guests can dip into a varied daily programme: aqua aerobics, yoga, beach football and tennis, darts, table tennis and more. A compact gym (typically 18+ years) is open during the main season, and the spa offers a sauna, steam room, massages, beauty treatments and an on-site hairdresser (all with local charges and seasonal hours).
Kids are well catered for with a club for 4–12 year olds, a playground and the aqua park, alongside family-friendly daytime activities and evening mini-discos. There’s also a small on-site mini-market for beach toys and essentials, plus reception services including currency exchange, luggage storage, pushchair hire and a shuttle bus to Obzor (extra charges apply).

Food & drink
You’re well looked after on the food front at Sol Luna Bay Resort. The main buffet restaurant handles generous spreads for breakfast, lunch and dinner with show-cooking stations and family favourites, while three additional buffet venues rotate themes like Bulgarian, seafood and Italian.
Highchairs are available and a smart dress code applies in the evenings (no beachwear; long trousers requested for men).
Between meals, the resort’s snack bars keep everyone refuelled. Expect tapas-style bites, paella, paninis and beachside snacks, plus a lobby bar and lively pool and piano bars serving local and international drinks (All Inclusive drinks generally until 23:00). Some venues are seasonal and operate according to occupancy, and reservations or supplements may be required depending on your board set-up. What All Inclusive typically includes.
