Highlights of Kerala: Kochi, Periyar & the Backwaters – 8 Days
Fort Kochi, Periyar, a backwater houseboat and Kovalam beach, in a group of up to sixteen.
Tour overview
This 8-day trip explores the spice port, hills, backwaters and beaches of Kerala in south India. A tour leader travels with the group, which numbers between four and sixteen. You stay seven nights in hotels and a night aboard a traditional houseboat, with breakfast daily and several lunches and dinners.
In Kochi you explore the colonial landmarks of the old fort area, with its Chinese fishing nets, Portuguese and Dutch heritage and spice markets. In the hills you walk through a rubber plantation, join a nature walk in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and watch a cooking demonstration in a family home before dinner.

What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
If your international flight is part of your booking through us, we re-book at no cost. If you've booked flights separately, the tour's local team holds your transfer slot until you arrive. We strongly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes delay and cancellation cover.
