Tour overview

This 14-day journey explores Namibia in depth and in style, with upgraded lodges and a group of no more than ten. A tour leader travels with you throughout in a 4×4 overland truck. You stay thirteen nights in hand-picked lodges, boutique hotels and a tented camp, with almost all meals included.

From Windhoek you drive to the red dunes of the Kalahari for afternoon game drives, then to Dead Valley Lodge, inside the park gate at Sossusvlei, for two nights. An early start brings you to the great dunes and the white clay pan of Deadvlei before the heat of the day.

After two nights in Swakopmund, with a historical walking tour, you head north via the Cape Cross seal colony to Palmwag in Damaraland, where you join a walking safari to track desert-adapted black rhinos in the Torra Conservancy. Three days in and around Etosha bring game drives at its waterholes, and you finish at a tented camp near Otjiwarongo with a visit to the Cheetah Conservation Fund and a guided nature walk.

The physical rating is medium. This journey suits travellers who want Namibia’s best experiences in comfort and a small group.
