Namibia Lodge Safari – 12 Days
Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, the Brandberg and Etosha, staying in lodges throughout.
Tour overview
This 12-day safari loops through Namibia’s deserts, coast and national parks, staying in lodges throughout. A tour leader travels with the group, which numbers no more than sixteen, by overland truck and 4WD. You stay eleven nights in hotels and lodges, with breakfast daily, nine lunches and four dinners.
From Windhoek you cross the Namib Desert to Sesriem for two nights, exploring the towering dunes of Sossusvlei, among the highest in the world. Passing Solitaire and the Kuiseb Canyon, you reach Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, a German colonial town on the Atlantic, with a free day for optional activities.

Heading north, you visit the Cape Cross seal colony and stay below the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain. Three nights near Etosha National Park bring game drives around its waterholes in search of elephants, lions, rhinos and giraffes. On the way back to Windhoek you visit the Cheetah Conservation Fund and stay at Otjiwa, where antelope and warthogs roam the grounds.
The physical rating is medium. This safari suits travellers who want to see the best of Namibia without camping.
