Tour overview
This 14-day holiday is the longer version of a Caribbean escape designed exclusively for solo travellers, giving you twelve nights in Saint Lucia with a twin or double room of your own and no single supplement. A dedicated host travels with the group for the first week, supported by a specialist local guide, and return flights from London are included, along with a UK airport lounge, transfers and porterage. You stay twelve nights at the three-star Bay Gardens Hotel in Rodney Bay Village, which has two outdoor pools and a spa and a free shuttle to Reduit Beach, with one night in flight. Twelve breakfasts, a plantation lunch and welcome and farewell dinners are included.
Saint Lucia is a lush volcanic island of beaches, rainforest and fishing villages, overlooked by the Pitons, two dramatic volcanic peaks rising from the sea. The first week follows a relaxed pattern of excursions and free days. An island tour takes you through rural countryside to the Lushan Country heritage site, a Creole house for a cooking demonstration and tasting, and a rum distillery for a tour, a mini carnival experience and a tasting, with a stop at Marigot Bay.

Midweek, a land and sea safari heads down the west coast by open-air jeep to Soufrière, visiting the Sulphur Springs, a drive-in volcano, and the Diamond Botanical Gardens and waterfall, before lunch at a working cocoa plantation and a return by boat with a snorkelling stop. Free days let you join optional excursions such as a market and craft tour in Castries, dolphin and whale watching or a sunset catamaran cruise, and the group comes together for a farewell dinner at the end of the first week.
The extra five days are yours to enjoy at your own pace. You might take the optional tour of the north of the island to the Vigie Lighthouse, Morne Fortune and Pigeon Island, with the ruins of Fort Rodney and views from Signal Peak, or simply spend long days on Reduit Beach and by the pool before your overnight flight home.
The physical rating is low. This holiday suits solo travellers who want a long, unhurried Caribbean break with company when they want it.
