Jamaica Tour: Blue Mountains, Negril & Treasure Beach – 10 Days
Blue Mountain coffee, Bob Marley, the Maroons, Port Antonio, Negril and Treasure Beach, in a small group of up to 16.
Tour overview
This 10-day small-group tour circles Jamaica, mixing its culture, history and music with time on some of the Caribbean's best beaches. Groups have 4 to 16 travellers aged 16 and over, led by a tour leader throughout. You travel by private vehicle and stay in comfortable hotels and small resorts, including two nights on Negril's Seven Mile Beach and two in laid-back Treasure Beach. Breakfast is included daily from Day 2, with a traditional Maroon lunch, and the final transfer to Kingston airport is included. The trip is land-only, starting in Kingston and ending at Kingston airport.
Kingston, the island's capital and cultural heart, is the starting point. A day trip climbs the winding roads into the Blue Mountains to a coffee plantation, with a guided walk through the coffee fields and a tasting of the famous single-origin coffee, followed by a visit to the Bob Marley Museum, in the singer's former home. At Charles Town you learn the story of the Maroons, escaped and freed slaves who won their independence in the mountains, over a traditional lunch, with the option of a bamboo-raft ride on the Rio Grande.

Port Antonio, on the lush north-east coast, gives you two nights to swim in the Blue Lagoon and spend time on the white sand of Frenchman's Cove. In Ocho Rios there is an optional climb up Dunn's River Falls. A guided tour of Rose Hall Great House, an 18th-century plantation mansion, introduces the island's colonial history before you continue via Montego Bay to Negril, where a free day on Seven Mile Beach is ideal for swimming, snorkelling or a sunset cruise.
The final stretch heads inland to the Appleton Estate, which has been producing rum since the 1700s, for a tour and tasting, then on to Treasure Beach on the quiet south coast. A free day here offers options such as the Pelican Bar on a sandbank offshore, a Black River safari to see crocodiles, or a cooking class. The trip ends with a drive of about three and a half hours to Kingston airport.
The pace is relaxed, with plenty of optional activities. This trip suits travellers who want to see more of Jamaica than a single resort, with culture, history and beach time in equal measure.
