Tour overview
This 9-day holiday is designed exclusively for solo travellers who want to discover Saint Lucia in good company, with a twin or double room of your own and no single supplement. A dedicated host travels with the group, supported by a specialist local guide, and return flights from London are included, along with a UK airport lounge, transfers and porterage. You stay seven nights at the three-star Bay Gardens Hotel in Rodney Bay Village, which has two outdoor pools and a spa and a free shuttle to Reduit Beach, with one night in flight. Seven breakfasts, a plantation lunch and welcome and farewell dinners are included.
Saint Lucia is a lush volcanic island of white-sand beaches and rainforest, overlooked by the Pitons, two towering volcanic peaks on the west coast. You meet your fellow travellers over a welcome drink and dinner, and the next day an island tour takes you through the countryside to the Lushan Country heritage site for a short walk among native trees and birds. In a Creole house you see local dishes prepared and taste them, then visit a rum distillery to learn about the island's rum heritage, enjoy a mini carnival experience and taste award-winning rums, ending with a drink at beautiful Marigot Bay.

Free days let you relax by the pool or on Reduit Beach, or join optional excursions, perhaps a market and craft tour in the capital, Castries, a dolphin and whale watching trip, or a sunset catamaran cruise with canapés and rum punch.
The highlight is a land and sea safari down the west coast to Soufrière. You travel by open-air jeep through villages on the edge of the rainforest to the Sulphur Springs, a drive-in volcano, and the Diamond Botanical Gardens and waterfall, before lunch of Creole dishes at a working cocoa plantation. You return by boat along the coast, with a stop to snorkel and a cruise through Marigot Bay. A final free day is ideal for the beach before a farewell dinner and your overnight flight home.
The physical rating is low. This holiday suits solo travellers who want a relaxing Caribbean escape with good company and a few well-chosen excursions.
