Map & location
Albufeira, Algarve, Portugal
Areias Village places you in a sweet spot between beach days and Albufeira’s nightlife. The lively resort centre and Strip are roughly 450m away, so you can dip into the bars, restaurants and live entertainment when you feel like it, then retreat to the quieter pool area when you don’t.
A gentle 550m walk takes you to a wide sandy beach backed by cliffs – classic Algarve scenery – while the whitewashed Old Town, with its cobbled streets and sea-view restaurants, is about 2km away and easily reached by taxi or mini-train.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The heart of the complex is its outdoor pool area, framed by lawns and palm trees. The main freshwater pool has plenty of sunbeds and parasols, with inflatables generally permitted – great if you’re travelling with kids or just like to drift in the water.
A separate children’s pool comes with small slides and a shallow depth, ideal for younger swimmers to splash around while you keep a close eye from your lounger. Both pools usually operate between March and October, weather permitting, and facilities can vary slightly by season.
When you’re ready to swap pool for sand, the nearest beach is about 550m away – a wide stretch of golden sand typical of the Algarve, with sunbeds and beach bars available locally.
Spa, sports & wellness
Areias Village keeps things simple and relaxing rather than activity-heavy. There isn’t a full spa or big sports programme on site, but you’ll find:
• Gardens and sun terraces for relaxed downtime
• Children’s playground with swings, slides and climbing frame (age/height restrictions can apply)
• Indoor soft play area (seasonal opening, typically March–October, daytime hours)
Reception can help arrange local activities such as golf, waterparks or boat trips in the wider Albufeira area, where you’ll find everything from dolphin-watching cruises and sea cave tours to karting and waterparks.
Activities
While Areias Village itself is more about relaxed pool time than organised activities, its location makes it a great base for Algarve experiences. In and around Albufeira you can enjoy:
• Boat trips along the coast and to Benagil sea caves (local operators)
• Dolphin-watching cruises and sunset sails from Albufeira Marina
• Waterparks such as Aqualand and Slide & Splash (seasonal; transport required)
• Electric karting at the marina
• Golf courses within a short drive of the resort
Local excursions and tickets can usually be arranged via reception or nearby agencies.
Guest services
Areias Village offers a range of practical services to keep your stay smooth:
• 24-hour reception (hours can vary)
• Concierge-style assistance and local information
• Luggage storage for early arrivals/late departures
• Lift access to upper floors
• Free Wi-Fi throughout the property
Some services or facilities may carry an extra charge or operate seasonally; full details are provided locally and can change from year to year.
Food & drink
You may be self-catering, but you won’t go hungry if you fancy a night off from cooking. Areias Village has an à la carte restaurant serving local Portuguese dishes for breakfast and dinner (seasonal, typically March–October), so you can start the day with a relaxed sit-down breakfast or try regional specialities in the evening.
The pool bar keeps things easy during the day with drinks and light bites, making it simple to stay by your lounger. Expect a mix of local, international and some premium-brand drinks.
A smart-casual dress code may apply in the restaurant and opening hours can vary by season. Reservations and supplements can depend on your chosen board basis; details are confirmed locally and may change from one season to the next.
