Perched on a cooler mountain plateau above Olu Deniz, Hisaronu is one of the Dalaman Area’s liveliest little hubs. Ocean Blue Hotel tucks just back from the main strip, so you’re a short stroll from bars, restaurants and shops but far enough for quieter nights by the pool.
Head downhill by dolmus or shuttle to Olu Deniz to swim in startling-blue sea and photograph the paragliders swooping from Babadag Mountain. Back in Hisaronu, expect a mix of Turkish tavernas, pubs, karaoke spots and late-night clubs – you can dial nights up or down to suit your mood.

Ocean Blue Hotel is built around its water. A free-form main pool weaves between the hotel blocks, lined with sunbeds and parasols, while additional pools create quieter pockets to unwind. There’s also a dedicated children’s pool and a main pool with a shallow kids’ section – inflatables and water toys are generally welcomed, adding to the fun, family-friendly feel.
Many of the swim-up rooms open directly onto one of the pools, so you can step from your terrace straight into the water. Olu Deniz’s famous soft-sand beach and blue lagoon are about 4km away; you can head down on the hotel shuttle (typically twice daily, seasonal) or by local dolmus.
Spa, sports & wellness
The compact spa is a welcome retreat after hot days in the mountains. Facilities usually include a sauna, steam room and Turkish bath (hammam), plus a menu of massage and beauty treatments, available for guests aged 7+ (charges apply). Opening hours are generally 09:00–19:00 between April and October but may vary.
While there’s no big sports complex, the hotel runs occasional daytime activities and poolside games in season, and evenings can feature live music, DJs, karaoke and professional shows on selected nights – a sociable backdrop before or after heading into town.

Hisaronu pairs cooler plateau air with a lively holiday village feel, while Olu Deniz and the iconic Blue Lagoon are just a short ride downhill. Local language is Turkish and the currency is the Turkish Lira (₺). Expect flight times from the UK to Dalaman of around 4–4.5 hours, plus an approximate 1 hour 45 minute road transfer to the hotel.
