Map & location
Kotor Bay (Tivat Airport), Montenegro
Huma Kotor Bay Hotel occupies an enviable spot right on the shores of Kotor Bay – Montenegro’s most iconic stretch of coast, framed by steep, forested mountains. You’re tucked away in a peaceful waterfront pocket, yet only a short drive from the cobbled lanes, Venetian architecture and lively cafés of UNESCO-listed Kotor Old Town.
From the hotel’s jetty and beach you can watch boats glide past, arrange private bay cruises or simply soak up the shifting light over the mountains from sunrise to sunset. It’s a superb base if you want to mix lazy days by the water with day trips along the Adriatic coast or inland into Montenegro’s national parks.
- Seafront on the waterfront
- Private beach on-site
- Kotor Old Town 5–10km (short taxi ride along the bay)
- Tivat town & marina 10–12km
- Approx. transfer time from airport 20–30 minutes from Tivat Airport (TIV), around 1.5–2 hours from Podgorica (subject to traffic).
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The hotel’s infinity pools are made for long, lazy days. Overlooking the bay, they’re lined with loungers and parasols so you can drift between swim, snooze and page-turner without moving far at all. From the edge of the water, it feels as though the pool merges directly with Kotor Bay.
Step down from the terraces and you’re on the private beach club – a groomed stretch of shore with ladders and steps into the clear, calm waters of the bay. This is an ideal spot for confident swimmers and anyone who loves wild-feeling sea dips but still wants the comfort of hotel facilities mere metres away.
Spa, sports & wellness
Wellness is a key part of the Huma Kotor Bay experience. A luxury spa offers a menu of massages, body scrubs and facials along with tranquil treatment rooms and relaxation spaces – a welcome counterpoint to days spent exploring the cobbled streets of Kotor or the rugged Montenegrin interior.
You can expect a compact fitness area for light workouts, plus a variety of paid water-based activities nearby, from kayaking and paddleboarding to boat trips around the bay (availability and operation can be seasonal and weather-dependent).
The hotel’s seafront setting and contemporary public spaces also make it an easy place simply to sit, sip and enjoy the ever-changing scenery – from sparkling midday blues to dusky pink evenings.

A chic beach bar keeps drinks and light bites coming throughout the day, from artisan coffees to sundowners and cocktails mixed to the soundtrack of lapping waves.
Guests staying on Half Board will usually enjoy breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant (drinks with dinner are typically extra), while Bed and Breakfast guests have the flexibility to sample the growing food scene in and around Kotor as well as at the hotel.
Rooms
Sea View Rooms
Upgrade to watch the sun travel across Kotor Bay from your own balcony. Sea-facing rooms are perfect if you plan to spend mornings with coffee or evenings with a glass of local wine, simply soaking up the views.
Suites
For extra space, open-plan suites and one-bedroom-style options give you a lounge area in addition to the main sleeping space. These work well for longer stays, special occasions or small families wanting more room to spread out, with many also looking directly onto the bay.
Signature & Premium Categories
Higher-category rooms and suites add enhanced views, more generous layouts or premium locations within the resort. If you’re planning a honeymoon or celebrating something special, it’s worth asking our Travelisto team about the best-value upgrades for your dates.
