Creta Maris Resort
Hersonissos | Crete (Heraklion Area)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A whitewashed, Cretan-style “village” set right on the beach, Creta Maris Resort is one of the Heraklion coast’s big hitters. Think 5-star All Inclusive with proper personality: cobbled lanes, blue-shuttered buildings, and more pools, bars and restaurants than most towns. Families get a full waterpark, kids’ clubs and open-air cinema; couples can retreat to adults-only Deluxe rooms with heated pools and a chic cocktail bar for sunset Aperol Spritzes. Certified sustainable and proudly local, this is a resort that feels both polished and authentically Greek.
Sugar-cube buildings spilling down to a golden bay, palm-framed pools and a Cretan village vibe: Creta Maris Resort looks and feels like its own seaside hamlet. Wander from the beachfront promenade to the waterpark, then on to the open-air cinema or one of 17 bars – all under an All Inclusive concept that’s genuinely extensive.
For couples and families who want Crete (Heraklion Area)’s blend of beach life, history and nightlife, Creta Maris Resort delivers the best of all three. It’s around 1 hour from Heraklion Airport (HER), with Hersonissos resort centre just 500m away for shops, tavernas and bars. See more Greece holidays.

Couples can book adults-only room categories to access quiet, heated adults-only pools, Sima adults-only beach bar and an exclusive restaurant terrace.
2. What is the child policy at Creta Maris Resort?
Children up to 11 years are classed as kids for pricing purposes. The resort offers dedicated family facilities including five children’s pools, Asterias Kids’ Club (4–12 yrs), Teens Club (13–17 yrs), a supervised baby room (up to 5 yrs, limited dates), and a playground. Some bars and adults-only areas, such as Sima Beach Bar or Nami Wine Cellar on selected days, are reserved for guests aged 16+.
3. Do I need to reserve the à la carte restaurants?
Yes. À la carte restaurants at Creta Maris Resort require advance reservations and are subject to availability. As part of the All Inclusive programme, guests are usually entitled to one dinner per week in each of the included à la carte restaurants, depending on stay duration and current policy. Dress codes apply in many venues, so beachwear is not permitted at dinner.
4. Is there a dress code at Creta Maris Resort?
During the day, casual resort wear is fine around the pools and beach. For dinner, many restaurants request smart casual dress – typically no beachwear or swimwear, and longer shorts or trousers and closed shoes for men in the evening. Some premium venues and bars may have slightly stricter guidelines, which will be advised on site.
5. Does Creta Maris Resort offer Wi-Fi?
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort, including in guest rooms and public areas. Speeds may vary by location and time of day, but it is generally suitable for browsing, messaging and light streaming.
6. Is airport transfer included when booking Creta Maris Resort with Travelisto?
Many of our package holidays to Creta Maris Resort include shared coach transfers between Heraklion Airport and the hotel. Exact inclusions will be displayed during the booking process. If you prefer, private transfers or car hire can be arranged at an additional cost – ask our Travelisto team for options.
7. Are there accessibility-friendly features at the resort?
Creta Maris Resort is spread across village-style buildings with multiple lifts and ramps in many areas. Wheelchairs and some baby equipment can be hired via reception, subject to availability. However, due to the size and layout of the complex, we recommend discussing any specific mobility requirements with a Travelisto specialist before booking so we can advise on the best room types and locations.
