Tour overview

This 10-day adventure travels across China through its food, from the imperial dishes of Beijing to the spicy cuisine of Sichuan and the dim sum of Hong Kong. A local leader travels with the group, which numbers no more than twelve, by high-speed train. You stay nine nights in hotels, with breakfast on most days and many meals: eight breakfasts, two lunches and five dinners.

In Beijing you visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, explore the hutongs and their snacks and walk the Great Wall at Mutianyu. A bullet train brings you to Xi’an for a food walk through the Muslim Quarter, a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and a meal in the countryside.
